Our silly boy!

Just wanted to post some silly pictures of Nolan at home. Like many other toddlers, Nolan is greatly entertained by the simplest things!

Pumpkin Patch

This was our first year going to the pumpkin patch, the start of a family tradition. There was lots to do, but Nolan's favorite thing turned out to be sitting on the pumpkins! We did take a hay ride and walked around looking at all the animals. Mom's favorite thing was the kettle corn at the end of the day! Here are some highlights of our day:

Hanging out with the cousins!

We try to go to The Dalles often to see Nolan's cousins Allison, Tyler and Katelyn. This trip we went to see one of Tyler's soccer games and first went to Aunt Kris' house to hang out. Here is Nolan acting as an aspiring concert pianist:

We love to watch Allison and Tyler in their various activities. Allison is involved in competitive gymnastics and travels all over the Portland area competing. I have watched her now for about a year and she has improved tremendously. While I don't have any pictures of her gymnastics now to post, keep on the lookout. Her next session will begin in February. I am very proud of her!! Dave has gotten some pictures of Tyler's soccer games as well as Nolan and Katelyn playing. This year Tyler's team was undefeated! Go Tyler!!!!

Labor Day

This Labor Day we went to Bend with Grandma and Grandpa Couch. We stayed in a condo overlooking The Deschutes River. It was gorgeous and very relaxing! I think I read 2 1/2 books over the 4 days we were there! What a perfect way to spend a long weekend. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for inviting us to come along!!

On the way home, we stopped at Papa's (Kolleen's dad's) house. Papa lives out in the country and we love to visit. This time we got to look at the chickens.

Nolan's First Camping Trip!

We went to Cannon Beach with our neighbors for Nolan's first big camping trip! He was a typical boy and loved playing in the dirt and exploring. We didn't take many pictures, but here are a few of Nolan:

He was a big hit around the campground too! There were tons of bunnies running around and Nolan loved watching them and saying "bunny, bunny." We can't wait to spend more weekends camping with Nolan!

4th of July

This year, we went to Walla Walla for the 4th of July long weekend. We love Walla Walla, and visiting Dave's aunt and uncle, Lois & Lewie. Dave's cousin Donna Mae and her husband Stanley come up every year from Sherman Oaks, and we love to see them too. We hope to make this a family tradition.

We went to the park:

Ate some yummy food:

Took naps with Daddy:

and of course watched fireworks (although Nolan preferred to watch them from inside the car)!

Father's Day

Dave decided for Father's Day this year he wanted to go to the beach. It was a beautiful day and Nolan loved playing in the sand! Nolan wasn't a huge fan of the water though and cringed every time we got near it. I tried walking down to the water with him, and about half way down, he signed "all done", turned around and started to walk back to where we were sitting!

Here's a couple of Nolan hanging out with his daddy:

Nolan especially liked having his legs buried in the sand!

Overall, it was a great day at the beach!

Catching up....

Ok, so again, it has been a long time. Time flies and before we knew it, it had been 6 months since we posted! We have been inspired by other friends and how often they post, and vow to be better!

So here comes some events from the last 6 months we wanted to highlight! Enjoy! :)
