Halloween 2009

So it's a little late to post about Halloween, but want to document the event anyway. Nolan loved everything about Halloween this year, from dressing up, to the carved pumpkins to of course, trick or treating. He LOVES Mickey Mouse, so when my friend Janelle said she found a Mickey Mouse costume in her attic that her son couldn't fit into, I knew it would be perfect!

Before we went to Dave's dad and step-mom's for trick or treating, Nolan helped me make cupcakes. He helped crack eggs and run the mixer. He enjoys baking with his mom!

And of course we had to lick the beaters when we were done mixing!

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

This year we went to a pumpkin patch near Canby with Nolan's friend Cole and his parents, Janelle and Jason. Nolan loved feeding the goats and looking at the different animals. His other favorite thing was going down the slide at Noah's Ark. We had a fun time on the hay ride, and of course picking out pumpkins. I didn't expect Nolan to pick out his own, but when I looked over at him, he was carrying his own! Happy Halloween!

Funny Story

I had to work late last night, so Dave picked Nolan up from daycare. On their way home, Nolan asked Dave what he was doing. He told him that he was driving home and was then going to fix dinner. "Dinner broken?", Nolan replied. Dave then had to explain to him that "fixing" and "making" were the same thing when it came to food. Not sure if he got it or not. Dave laughed so hard and had to immediately call me to tell the story. It was so cute! He takes things so literally sometimes!

Back to School Night

Nolan goes to a YMCA Child Development Center and recently held Back to School week. Every day there was a different theme and Back to School night was Thursday. Nolan loved showing us pictures taken throughout the week and all of his art projects.

Nolan playing in the classroom

Nolan was very excited about his cookie! They made them in class one day.

Nolan and his teacher Chelsea on jersey day. Can you tell she loves what she does?!?

We're pregnant!

For some of you, this is not new news. BUT, I know there are others that I have not had the chance to tell. We are very excited to add another member to our family and Nolan is super excited to be a big brother! I am now 15 weeks along and things are going well. I have established care with a high risk OB and feel good about that decision. We went to see her last week and had our first ultrasound. Enjoy these pictures!

Our silly boy!

Just wanted to post some silly pictures of Nolan at home. Like many other toddlers, Nolan is greatly entertained by the simplest things!

Pumpkin Patch

This was our first year going to the pumpkin patch, the start of a family tradition. There was lots to do, but Nolan's favorite thing turned out to be sitting on the pumpkins! We did take a hay ride and walked around looking at all the animals. Mom's favorite thing was the kettle corn at the end of the day! Here are some highlights of our day:
